Heather Hoeksema, Director of HHEAL
Gallery, is a nationally established
architect who derives her environmental
methodology from the arts. She understands
art as an anthropological interpretation of
the human condition. Specifically, works
of art are artifactual stories of the artist's
mirror perception of people and places;
real, imaginary, and the space between.
Her 20 years of history in the arts
include teaching at the School of the
Art Institute of Chicago, working on
the Harris Music and Dance Theatre +
other global cultural commissions, and
apprenticing along side historically
significant architects like Los Angeles'
famed Eric Lloyd Wright.
At HHEAL she develops exhibitions for
established and emerging artists with studios
based in Los Angeles. As part of the gallery's
repertoire, she consults to collectors and
patrons regarding acquisitions.
